Here are five easy ways to get started with search engine traffic:

1. OPTIMIZE YOUR SITE

Optimize the contents of your web site and make sure it is rich in keywords (without going as far as keyword stuffing… putting way too many keywords, so it looks unnatural) to make it easy for search engines to locate your pages. By doing this, your site can rise up in the search engine results which will surely generate traffic.

2. START A BLOG

Include a blog spot on your web site. Blogs contain a lot of words that you can make use of as keywords or keyword phrases. Blogs also are ideal means of communicating to your target market or audience to address inquiries, comments or suggestions.

3. ADD RSS FEEDS

Create or subscribe to other RSS (really simple syndication) feeds. However, make sure that these are valuable to your potential customers.

4. PAY PER CLICK ADVERTISING

Use PPC with Yahoo or Google. Bid on the most common keywords to generate highly targeted traffic.

5. WRITE ARTICLES

Create simple "how to" articles and submit them to various web sites. Make sure your article contains a back link pointing to your site. Continue doing this and you will eventually generate site traffic.
